Ka-Khy Tzé, MD, ABR, CAQ & MOC(Neuroradiology)

Ka-Khy Tzé, MD, graduated from University of Paris, France. He received his Medical Degree from the Pitie-Salpetriere Medical School, University of Paris, France. While in France, Dr. Tzé completed a rotating internship in Neuro-Opthalmology and Radiology at the Rothschild Foundation in Paris, a residency in Neuroradiology at the Pitie-Salpetriere Hospital, and a Certificate of Special Studies in Radiology at the University of Paris.

In the United States, Dr. Tzé completed a residency in Radiology at the Medical  Center of Delaware and a fellowship in Neuroradiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Presently, he is a Neuroradiology Consultant at the VA Medical Center, Wilmington, Delaware, and a Radiology Consultant at Delaware State Hospital.

Dr. Tzé is a Diplomate of the American

Board of Radiology and a senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology, American Society of Head and Neck Radiology, American Society of Spine Radiology, and a founding member of the Eastern Society of Neuroradiology. His expertise in Computed Tomography dates from 1974 and from 1985 in high-field Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Special interests include imaging modalities of the temporal bone and spine. He passed the Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Neuroradiology in November 1995 and the Maintenance of Certificate exam (MOC) in July 2005.  He is licensed in the states of Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.

Joseph R. Peacock, MD
Co-Director, Diagnostic Imaging Associates, P.A.

Joseph Peacock, MD, graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He received his Medical Degree from Hahneman University. Dr. Peacock served a residency in Radiology and completed a Nuclear Medicine fellowship at Wilmington Medical Center. He is a member of the Medical Society of Delaware, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Radiology.

Dr. Peacock has special interest in Obstetrical and Gynecological Ultrasonography, Mammography, Computed Tomography, and Nuclear Medicine. He is licensed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

Myung-Soo Lee, MD, ABR, CAQ (Pediatric Radiology and Neuroradiology)
Medical Director, Omega Nuclear Diagnostic Center

Myung-Soo Lee, MD, graduated from Korea University, Seoul, Korea. He completed an internship and residency in General Surgery before coming to the United States where he was a resident in Diagnostic Radiology at Philadelphia General Hospital. Dr. Lee also completed a residency in Radiology at Wilmington Medical Center where he was Chief Resident. While at Wilmington Medical Center, Dr. Lee completed fellowship training in special procedures including Neuroradiology, Angiography, and Head and Body Computed Tomography. Dr. Lee further completed training in Nuclear Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University and Wilmington Medical Center.

Dr. Lee is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology. He was Section Chief in Neuromuscular Imaging at A.I. DuPont Institute. Dr. Lee is author and coauthor of many neuromuscular and orthopedic papers. He now serves as a Consultant at the A. I. DuPont Institute and has been associated with that institution since 1979. Dr. Lee is also Radiology Consultant at Delaware State Hospital. Dr. Lee has special interest in Neuroradiology and Musculoskeletal, Pediatric, and Nuclear Medicine. He passed the Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Pediatric Radiology in November 1995 and the CAQ in Neuroradiology in November 1997.

Dr. Lee is a member of the New Castle County Medical Society, American Medical Association, and the Radiological Society of North America. He is also a member of the Society for Pediatric Radiology and a Senior Member of the American Society of Neuroradiology.

Dr. Lee is licensed in Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.

Rita Gottesman, MD, ABR
Medical Director, Brandywine Imaging Center

Rita Gottesman, MD, is Medical Director of Brandywine Imaging Center. Dr. Gottesman has fellowship training in Ultrasonography and Body Computed Tomography (CT). She was a Staff Radiologist at North Shore University Hospital, Manhassett, New York for nine years where she held the academic rank of Assistant Professor at Cornell Medical College and specialized in Ultrasonography, Body CT, and Mammography.

Dr. Gottesman has coauthored numerous articles as well as a book chapter on Ultrasonography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

Dr. Gottesman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology and a member of the Radiological Society of North America, American Association of Ultrasound in Medicine, and the Medical Society of Delaware. Dr. Gottesman is licensed in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.

Ralph Noah, MD, ABR

Ralph Noah, MD, graduated from Hobart College, Geneva, New York with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Dr. Noah attended La Faculte Libre de Medicine in Lille, France and received his Medical Degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. After completing an internship in Internal Medicine, Dr. Noah completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the Medical College of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Noah is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology and has been an Assistant Professor of Diagnostic Radiology at the Bucks County Campus of MCP/Hahnemann University from 1995 to 1999. Dr. Noah has been with Diagnostic Imaging Associates since July of 1999.

Dr. Noah's special interests include Ultrasonography, Body CT, and Mammography. He has also co-authored several papers and scientific exhibits.

Dr. Noah is licensed in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.

Mithilesh K. Singh, MD, ABR

Mithilesh K. Singh, MD, ABR, received his Medical Degree from Darbhanga Medical College, Indiawhere he also completed a residency in Orthopedic Surgery.

Dr. Singh arrived in the United Statesin 1987, at which time he completed an internship in General Surgery at Harlem Hospital Center, New York. Following his internship, Dr. Singh was a resident in Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic Radiology at St. Vincent’s Hospital Medical Center, New York.

Dr. Singh is board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology and board-eligible in Nuclear Medicine, with areas of expertise in body computed tomography, ultrasonography, mammography, general radiology, general nuclear medicine, and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Singh is licensed in Delaware, New York, and New Jersey.

Muhammad I. Haq, MD, ABR

Muhammad I. Haq, MD, ABR, received his Medical Degree from King Edward Medical College, Pakistan. In the United States, Dr. Haq completed an externship in Internal Medicine followed by a Straight Surgical Internship from Coney Island Hospital, New York. Dr. Haq then completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, Pennsylvania. During his residency, Dr. Haq trained in Neuroradiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Interventional Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He also trained in Pediatric Radiology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

 Before joining Diagnostic Imaging Associates, Dr. Haq was a staff radiologist at St. Francis Hospital, Delaware. He currently maintains staff privileges at A.I. DuPont Children’s Hospital and the Veteran’s Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware as well as at St. Agnes Hospital in Philadelphia.

Dr. Haq is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology, a senior member of the Radiological Society of America, and a member of the American College of Radiology. Dr. Haq’s special interests in radiology are ultrasonography, body imaging, interventional, and special procedures, with more than two decades of experience in these areas.

Thanh H. Nguyen, MD, ABIM, ABR
Staff Radiologist, Diagnostic Imaging Associates, P.A.

Thanh H. Nguyen, MD, graduated from Dartmouth College, Hanover, N.H. with a B.A. in Biochemistry and Psychology. He received his M.D. from the Chicago Medical School. Dr. Nguyen completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson University in New Brunswick, N.J. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Nguyen went on to complete a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, P.A. During his residency he trained in all modalities of Diagnostic Radiology including PET imaging and Spectroscopy. He is also trained in Interventional Radiology procedures. His residency included training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as well as Temple’s Children Hospital and Shriner’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Nguyen is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology. He is a member of the American Medical Association and Radiological Society of North America.

Dr. Nguyen joined Diagnostic Imaging Associates in July 2003. Dr. Nguyen’s special interests include musculoskeletal imaging and neuroradiology.

Dr. Nguyen is licensed in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey.

Ahmed Shafi, MD, ABR
Staff Radiologist, Diagnostic Imaging Associates, P.A.

Ahmed Shafi, MD, graduated from the University of Kentucky earning a Bachelor of Science with high distinction in Biology.  He continued on at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine where he was nominated to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.  His postgraduate studies began at the University of Michigan Hospitals in Ann Arbor where he obtained clinical training in Emergency Medicine.  He then went on to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas to complete a four-year residency in Diagnostic Radiology.  Dr. Shafi completed his MRI Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  

Dr. Shafi is certified by the American Board of Radiology and holds memberships with the Radiological Society of North America, the American College of Radiology, and the Dallas County Medical Society.

Dr. Shafi joined Diagnostic Imaging Associates in July 2005.

Dr. Shafi is licensed in Delaware, Indiana and Texas.  He specializes in CT and MRI Imaging with Fellowship training in Neuroradiology, Body and Musculoskeletal Imaging.

Se-Ung John Yi, M.D.
Staff Radiologist, Diagnostic Imaging Associates, P.A.

John Yi, MD, attended Pennsylvania State University, where he majored in Premedicine, and received a freshman Presidential Award for Academic Achievement.  He continued on to Temple University School of Medicine for his Medical degree.  His internship in Preliminary Medicine was completed at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA.  Dr. Yi completed his four-year residency in Radiology at Wayne State University / Detroit Medical Center in Michigan.  His Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology was completed at University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Fellowship entailed extensive training in musculoskeletal radiography, MRI and CT, and full scope of image-guided musculoskeletal procedures such as arthrograms, spine injections, therapeutic joint injections, and biopsies.

Dr. Yi is certified by the American Board of Radiology and holds memberships with the Radiological Society of North America, the American College of Radiology, and Association of University Radiologists.  He presented at radiological society meetings and has research experience throughout his undergraduate and medical school years. Dr. Yi is bilingual, with fluency in both English and Korean.

Licensed in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, Dr. Yi's special interests are musculoskeletal imaging, and image-guided musculoskeletal procedures. Dr. Yi joined Diagnostic Imaging Associates in July 2007.

Steven L. Edell, DO, FACR
Medical Director, Women's Imaging Center of Delaware

Steven Edell, DO received his Bachelor of Arts in Biosciences from Rutgers University, and continued on to the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine for his Medical Degree.  His post-graduate training in Diagnostic Radiology, with the distinction of Chief Resident, was performed at the Episcopal Hospital and Philadelphia.  Dr. Edell has held academic appointments at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He has received specialty certifications from the American Board of Nuclear Medicine, the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology, a Fellow of the American College of Radiology and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, and a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners.

 Since 1992, Dr. Edell has been an adjunct faculty member of the Department of Radiology at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Throughout his career, he has authored or co-authored over 50 scientific articles and book chapters and has given numerous presentations and invitational lectures, all on topics involving diagnostic imaging techniques, and has been the principal investigator in numerous clinical trials for the diagnosis of breast cancer. He is a nationally known women's imager and has lectured locally, nationally and internationally.  In 2007, Dr. Edell was awarded the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Award for outstanding contributions in the battle against breast cancer in Delaware.

Dr. Edell has been President of Edell Radiology Associates since 1978 and Medical Director of Women's Imaging Center of Delaware since its opening in 1986.

Scott E. Goldberg, DO, MBA
Staff Radiologist, Women's Imaging Center of Delaware

Scott Goldberg, DO received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Temple University in Philadelphia before going on to medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.  Dr. Goldberg did his internship at the Hospital of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and fulfilled his residency at the Albert Einstein Medical Center.  Dr. Goldberg's residency involved Pediatric Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Angiography.  He gained his Fellowship in CT, Ultrasound, and Angiography from Albert Einstein Medical Center, and later attended Pennsylvania State University for his MBA in Healthcare Administration.

Dr. Goldberg is a member of numerous professional associations such as the American Board of Radiology, the Radiologic Society of North America, the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Osteopathic Specialists. He has held myriad appointments over the years from Medical Quality Assurance Committee of RMH, to Vice President of the Mammography Society of Philadelphia.  He is a consultant on the Board of Certification of the American Academy of Osteopathic Specialists, a Diplomat of the American College of Radiology.

 With extensive knowledge in his field, he has presented to the Delaware Valley Vascular Society and the American Academy of Surgery, and has co-authored works for the Journal of Vascular Surgery, the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association, and the Journal of the Medical Association of New Jersey. With licenses in both Pennsylvania and Delaware, Dr. Goldberg has been with Women's Imaging Center of Delaware since 2003.

 Valerie J. Gilliam, MD
Staff Radiologist, Women's Imaging Center of Delaware

Valerie Gilliam, MD, attended Swarthmore College, where she received her Bachelor of Arts.  She continued on to Jefferson Medical College for her Medical Degree.  Her internship and residency in Diagnostic Radiology was completed at the Wilmington Medical Center. 

Dr. Gilliam is a member of several professional associations including National Black Leadership in Cancer, the National Medical Association, the American Medical Association, the American Medical Women's Association, the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, and the Delaware Medical Society.  She has authored various medical imaging articles, and has received multiple awards and recognition such as Woman of the Year for both the National Association of University Women, and the Afro-American Historical Society.

Dr. Gilliam has earned various awards and honors in her career such as the Community Service Recognition Award by the City of Wilmington, and the Distinguished President's Award by the National Medical Association, and she has been published in the Delaware Medical Journal.

Licensed in Delaware, Dr. Gilliam specializes in Women's Imaging studies.  Departing her most recent career as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Breast Imaging Division of Thomas University Hospital, Dr. Gilliam joined Women's Imaging Center of Delaware in 2007.

Helen Slowinsi Sax, MD
Staff Radiologist, Women's Imaging Center of Delaware

Helen Sax, MD attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology.  She continued on to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey for her Medical Degree.  Dr. Sax performed her post-graduate training in Diagnostic Radiology and Internal Medicine respectively from Mercy Catholic Medical Center, University Hospital in New Jersey, and St. Michael's Medical Center in New Jersey.

Dr. Sax is a member various professional associations including the Radiologic Society of North America, the American College of Radiology, the Clinical Magnetic Resonance Society, and the Pennsylvania Medical Society.  She is certified by the American Board of Radiology and is licensed in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Colorado and Florida.  Dr. Sax possesses extensive experience in all facets of diagnostic imaging, and specializes in women's imaging studies.  She joined Women's Imaging Center of Delaware in 2007.
